I gave the straight FT-i a try on a demo day a few weeks ago. The square head seems to help start the backswing better, and it has a great feel to it. The gram weight chip in back lowers the CG for optimal trajectories. This driver wants to hit the ball straight but if you dont put a good swing on it it will still slice or hook. Others in my group were often longer, but I was deadly accurate.

This Callaway driver has a “Callaway Golf 25th Anniversary” marking on the shaft. I preferred the FTi as it was so forgiving. The square shape makes a great handle to hold the club while I work the shaft in and out of my pooper. I think there is some negative bias toward this club because, frankly, pulling out a square driver is callaqay of like singing in the callaway ft 5 neutral.

So i think the technology helped, but for me there was a psychological factor too not to be neglected in golf.
My god, was i impressed. Again, I swing about MPH on the radar. The 9 Degree Stiff, Draw version seemed to fit my swing better than the Neutral, which had a more consistent slice. All I can say is Wow! I have not seen the distance loss as some people have seen.
